UTS Soccer Club

Hey UTS fans and friends,

This weekend we have our annual FA Cup Night out. This year we are going to Kirribilli Club in the Sports Bar, in Lavender Bay.

This night will kick off at 7pm on Saturday the 30th of May, and you don’t have to get there early to warm up! We should be wrapping it all up after full time - around 3am.

All members of the public are welcome, so bring your friends, girlfriend, boyfriend, partner or crush along for a good night out! There is a rumour that cats and dogs are welcome; this is a fallacy. Please leave your pets at home! There will however be cheap beer and wine!!!

Eastern Uni Games (EUGs), formerly the East Coast Challenge is being held in Bathurst in July and we’re keen on getting a UTS men’s and women’s teams together.

This year its being held in Bathurst 5-9 July.

Cost is $400 ($375 for Advantage members)
This covers accommodation for 4 nights, competition costs and a hoody!

Send an email to registrar@utssoccerclub.com if you’re keen or even semi
interested so I can get an idea of numbers. At this stage we’d like to get 2 men’s and 1 womens team, so don’t be shy. Last year we had a ball!

All Women’s training for Wednesday night is CANCELLED due to the Socceroos match being held at Olympic Park. We expect you to use this time off to support the team, either at the venue or at home in your lounge room! The SoccerRoos are playing Uzbekistan in the World Cup Asian Qualifiers; kick-off is at 8pm.

The Men’s 3rd Division team are looking more players, particularly another goalkeeper - if you would like to play this year please contact registrar@utssoccerclub.com ASAP!

Our Women’s would also like to encourage new players of ALL skill levels to express their interest in playing for UTS and should email Kim at registrar@utssoccerclub.com.

Mid-week TRAINING STARTS THIS WEEK. Details are below.

The men who were training with Nikhil on Sunday, will be training TOMORROW night (TUESDAY 17th March) from 7pm-9pm at Bannockburn Oval, Bannockburn Road, Pymble. If you cannot make training, please send Nikhil a sms/text on 0432 079 295.

The men who were training with Jaz and Tony on Sunday, and ALL OTHER MEN will be training THURSDAY 19th March from 7pm-9pm at Bannockburn Oval, Bannockburn Road, Pymble. If you cannot make training, please send Jaz a sms/text on 0406 757 472.

Training for ALL women this week will be on WEDNESDAY 18th March, from 7pm-9pm at Barra Brui Oval, Burraneer Avenue, St Ives.

Our match against Asquith has been canceled due to wet weather!!

We will now be training at the UTS grounds where we regularly have training.

UTS SC are putting on an open bar for you from 7:30 - 9:30pm
